Prayers are being Answered!!

Hey! First thing to tell you all, is that we put Kimmie to bed in her crib last night, five minutes later, she climbed out and got in bed with us.

We went to get her visa picture, and physical this morning. The physical was rough, Kimmie had to get six immunizations, ouch! Kimmie got more antibiotics for her throat.

We went shopping for two hours, while Kimmie napped on Mommy. Kimmie went to sleep with our Cantonese dictionary, we took it out of her hand and put it on the night stand, she got up, got her book, got back in bed and went to back to sleep.

Sunday Update

Hello, everyone. It is 6/27/2009, We are taking two steps forward and three back.

Yesterday Kimmie ate at breakfast and lunch but wouldn't eat dinner. During the morning, We were brushing Kimmies' hair, if we stopped she would point to a spot on her head and we would brush that spot then she would point to another spot on her head, we would brush that etc... Kimmie started brushing her hair and would brush Gingers' hair.

Ginger started putting Kimmie in a carrying sling, on advice from an adopted child attachment disorder web site. Kimmie likes it, we like it also, she can't really throw her body around, and we noticed when she is out of it she throws her self around less.

This morning she wouldn't eat breakfast or lunch, she felt warm. We took her back to the doctor, they gave her more ear drops. We took her temp it was 99. They took it, it was normal. ??? They looked at her ears, and said her right ear was better, but her left was still infected, they cleaned her left ear out and put ear drops in. Kimmie still isn't feeling good, she's been feelin down all day, she wont play or anything. Please pray for her, that she will get better soon.

Oh, we finally were able to give her a bath last night, she wouldn't take one earlier that morning, it was like she was scared. ? This morning she woke up, and went to Ginger's side of the bed and got in bed with us and slept about 1 1/2 hours (she had never slept or laid in the bed. She has not come to us in the morning (on her own) since her first morning with us. It is now 2:10 pm and we just finished an hour of CWF (China Wrestling Federation) she's been crying for three hours and throwing herself around for One hour. Ginger just put her in the sling, everything was good for about ten min. then Ginger got a head butt in the nose. Five minutes after the head butt and Kimmie is sleeping in Ginger's arms.

Kimmie day 4!

Here we are again, more blog stuff. Went for another walk this morning, it was very humid, Kimmie did well again. We had it rough yesterday , Kimmie threw herself around terribly in the room. We took turns holding her, and I mean HOLDING HER!

She was throwing herself around almost hitting furniture etc... figured out that her ears were itching, from the healing, she didn't know what was going on it was just strange. We gave her some Ear-Gesic and it worked wonders. She can't speak to us so she acts out to let us know something is wrong. She does it when it is time to eat, not as bad though. She really likes the congie, we take a thermos to breakfast with us fill it up and that is her breakfast and lunch. She liiikes congie.

Ginger is in the other room right now giggling with Kimmie they, are having a good time Kimmie is laughing. Ginger put her face up to Kimmie's and Kimmie touched her nose then her eyes. Making good progress. It's nap time but they are enjoying the giggle time,...... yeah me to!

More from China

Hey everybody! We are doing well. We all went for a walk this morning and we had went further than ever! Before (yesterday), We could only get about a block before it all became to much for her, and would throw her body and start screaming. This morning we went about four blocks to the park where the Chinese do their Tai Chi. She didn't freak out at all the people, she didn't scream or throw her body back at all, the Lord is holding her in the palm of His hand. She is in a comfortable place. More pictures later. GOTCHA KIMMIE!!

What a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We finally have our Kimmie! She is absolutely beautiful and sleeping at the moment. She had a extremely hard day. When we first got her she cried and screamed alot she was so scared. Once we finally got back to the hotel with her she did much better. She is very scared around a lot of people. When we got back to the room Steve had to go shopping for diapers and for a bottle. When they brought her to us it was shocking that she was in diapers. Only because the orphanage told us that she was potty trained. And then they handed us a bottle. It really is not a big deal it was just a shock. I thank the Lord for bringing us around the world for our sweet girl!!!!! Please pray for Kimmie as she is having a difficult time. I can not imagine. I will try and post pictures tomorrow

Made it to CHINA!

This is Emily, a friend of Ginger and Steve! Blogger has been blocked in China so I will be posting updates as they send them to me. This from this AM:

Finally made it to China! Storms delayed their flight for several hours but they are in GZ and getting aquainted with the hotel. They have done some shopping around the island (their hotel is on Shamian Island). Please pray as they get Kimmie in 17 hours!!!!!!! Very exciting!!!!

I'll post pics and updates as soon as I get them!

17 hours away from Kimmie!!!!! God is good!

We leave in 9 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not believe that in 4 days we will have our little girl!!!
Our flight is approx. 21 hours. We will be in Hong Kong overnight and then on to Guangzhou. The hard part of all of this is being away from the kids here at home. I know that they will be fine and that the Lord is watching out for all us. Please pray for my family. The next time I blog we will probably be in China with our Kimmie. Praise the Lord!!!!!

Well we have one week to go!!!!!!!!!!! This time next week we should be in the air. We had a slight set back today, our agency called and said we know we told you to purchase your tickets to leave on the 19 and return on the 2 well now you need to change them. WHAT???????????? We now have to stay until the 3. What is one more day except in Airline world???? This has been a bit stressful. I know it will all work out. I am looking to the Lord and rejoicing that we will soon have our little girl and nothing will detour me from that. I have this peace and joy and excitement that is indescribable. I thank my Lord for all He has done in my life.
Yesterday we had a wonderful day we went to the park. We had a picnic and went walking and bike riding. It was great!!! Joseph leaves Monday for church camp so we will be apart 3 weeks! That sounds like forever, I am sure he will be having a blast at camp. This is the first time I have not gone to camp with my children. I know they will be fine I am not to sure about me????

WE ARE GOING TO GET OUR KIMMIE!!!!!!!

What a GREAT day!!!! We have our tickets. We fly into Hong Kong On the 19 and stay over night. Then the next morning we take a train to Guangzhou!!! How exciting!!!!!!!!!!!! Kimmie will be with in our arms in 14 days! Thank the Lord!!!!

WE HAVE TA!!!!!!!!! We will leave for China June 19 and return home with our sweet little girl on July 2!!!!!!!!!! That is less than 2 weeks!!!! That is 12 days from now!!!!!!!!!! Praise the Lord!!!!!!
The Lord has shown us so much through this adoption and I am looking forward to seeing what the the Lord has for us with our precious little Kimmie! I can not wait to hold her in my arms I know that that the Lord has had her in His all along! Please pray for us and all of our children. It will be hard to be separated for two weeks but I do know that the Lord will be with us all.

What a great day, it is my birthday. The family and I celebrated yesterday. We had a great time!! Presents ( I got an MP3 player for our trip to CHINA) cake and most important and the best part of all I got to spend time with family. My brother and his children were here, I do not remember when the last time we were together for a birthday. My parents, my father-n law,of coarse my husband and children. We had a nice day! It would be awesome if we heard about our TA! All in the Lords time. I really planned on posting some more pictures but I am actually at my parents using their computer ours is not working. Hopefully we can get it up and running again soon.
