Meet Nancy!!!

Absolutly Beautiful!!!!

She has multiple special needs:
concomitant estropia x2,
fusion of 4th and 5th fingers-both hands,
autism
Bless Nancy's baby heart!
She would definitely require a loving, compassionate, committed family.
A brave family.
A family who understands that the greatest blessings are not found
on the easy, smooth road
This beautiful child reminds me sooo much of my daughter!

Maggie

Maggie

China
13 years old
Maggie was found by police at age 9 years. She could not communicate anything to them about her family members as she is diagnosed as deaf and mute, and she did not know sign language at that time. Since arriving at the orphanage, she has been attending school and has learned to communicate well with others. She is extroverted and likes to help the younger children. Maggie is clever and does well with stitching and painting. She is described as lovely, quiet and obedient. Maggie is a child designated as "Special Focus" and is available on the shared list. Please contact us if you would like the opportunity to review her file

Kara

Kara

China
12 years old
Kara's medical report diagnoses her as deaf and mute. She is described as cheerful, optimistic and positive. She has a brilliant smile and communicates well with others in various ways. She takes care of herself independently and does well in school, earning good grades. Kara's teachers say she is a good student and draws well, loves reading and is learning to paint with the school's art teacher. Kara is a child designated as "Special Focus" and is available on the shared list. Please contact us if you would like the opportunity to review her file

Yang, Dong

Updated info about Yang Dong, from someone who personally knows her:
Yang Dong is 12 and a half, and will age out of the program in 18 months, she is aware of this too. She has spina bifida, uses a wheelchair and is studying grade 4 in local school - and doing well. She is confident, articulate and happy. As Yang Dong is on the adoption program myself and one of our teachers that has lived abroad in another culture took some time to really talk to her about adoption this week. Yang Dong already has a degree of understanding that adoption to another culture and language would be difficult (she is used to playing and being around non-speaking foreign people that come to the centre on short term teams), however, she has stated that she would like to have a family, and that she would like to go abroad. She is willing to work to overcome language difficulties for that. She is also aware that education, future jobs and life in a place like the USA would be easier for her than in China where wheelchair uses are still not supported well.
She transfers herself (in and out of the chair) and is completely independent in her self care, in fact, she can climb stairs on her own.
I wanted to pass this on and ask that you pass this information on to advocacy groups as we are all aware that time is running out for her.
Thanks
K.
