I heard a beautiful story about the Opal, how it is made of desert dust, sand, and silica and owes its beauty not to its perfection but to a defect. The Opal is a stone with a broken heart. It is full of minute fissures that allow air inside, and then the air refracts the light. As a result, the Opal has such lovely hues that the stone is called the " lamp of fire" because the breath of the Lord is in it. An Opal will lose its luster if it is kept in a cold, dark, place, but the luster is restored when it is held in a warm hand or when light shines on it. May your little Opal shine bright the rest of her life!
Thank you to Ms. Pat a sweet sweet lady who is the picture of Gods love!! She shared this beautiful story with us. I am so thankful the Lord has entrusted us to hold His precious Opal in our warm hands and allowing us to be the ones that get to see her light shine!!!!! What a true and wonderful blessing!!!
